Famous Cases of Looting

There have been many famous cases of looting. There are many situations in which people become looters in order to get the basic necessities of survival. The aftermath of a war, for example, often leads people to desperate measures in order to help their loved ones survive. Events like war often leave average citizens without the basic necessities, such as water and food. Looters often steal from business, the government or personal homes, simply with the intent to survive. Looters may have differing motives, but in any case, looters are in fact stealing property to which they are not entitled.
