Arrest Of Britanny Jennings

The arrest of Britanny Jennings and Dexter Fletcher in Marshall County, Kentucky came about as a result of five months of police work into the abuse of an infant. This investigation began when local police authorities were informed by hospital staff of injuries received by an infant which appeared to be the result of a criminal assault, with Britanny Jennings and Dexter Fletcher being the individuals suspected as being responsible. The conclusions of the police investigation were brought to a Grand Jury assembled from the residents of Marshall County. As such, the arrests of Dexter Fletcher and Britanny Jennings, as initially sought by local police authorities, were called for by the Marshall County Grand Jury, which issued indictments against these individuals. Britanny Jennings and Dexter Fletcher were thus taken into custody on April 30, 2009, she being 19 at the time, and he being 21, and charged with the Class C felony of Criminal Abuse, 1st Degree.
