Man Gets 3 years for Bizarre Sex Attack

November 02, 2011 08:59pm
A former California police officer is headed to prison for drugging, raping and then shaving his drinking buddy in an inexplicable sex attack that took place two years ago.

John Marshall, aged 56, of Redondo Beach, will serve three years in prison after pleading no contest to sexual assault on Tuesday.

The Prosecutor charged that Marshall and his unidentified buddy were getting drunk at his apartment in the fall of 2009 when the former police officer drugged his friend’s cocktail and raped him with a kitchen utensil.
At some point during the attack, the sex-crazed ex-cop shaved his unconscious friend’s body hair, claimed the prosecutor.

The victim, age 29, woke up later on a couch, but did not immediately report the attack. The attack was not reported until the victim sought treatment; doctors reported the rape to Los Angeles Police. In response to the conviction, Marshall vehemently claimed the attack—and the peculiar shaving incident—was consensual.

In addition to his 3-year prison sentence, Marshall will have to register as a sex offender.
